Volunteer Day: PAWS Animal Shelter with Buddy

I met a guy today.. no.. actually, I met 2 weeks ago. He's an old, obese man who was abandoned by his family. Yep, abandoned just because he's old. After 2 weeks.. today, I decided to just take him out. No.. The Asshole said.. why not take him out because this beast haven't have his walks yet today and he of all the dogs need then the most.. because he's fat.

 So, okay.. I took him out.. a lil struggle there because he refuse to get out of the shelter at first. That, until I gave him some treats. So, off we go.. for a lazy jog.. I found that, he would be my best lazy jog buddy.. because we're like, all fat and lazy to run type. It occurred to us, we should start this Buddy jog from now on. Who knows, both of us will soon reach our ideal weight? Right?

Buddy is an old Golden Retriever. A fluffy and cute beast. Always smiling.. well, he was somewhat depress when I first saw him.. but he's okay now. He's like the cheese and I'm like his bun. Hahaha! We basically manage to tolerate our old and fat bum jog together. No one else can do that..

I forgot to find out how old exactly is Buddy. I think I'd do that tomorrow.

Buddy is up for adoption.. please consider a senior dog. He's cool.. actually, one of the coolest chill dog I have ever met.

Before I go to the cute bunny part.. Everyone.. please note that, bunnies and guinea piggies.. don't like cabbage. Mainly because, cabbage can cause tummy upset. So, most likely they will avoid them. Plus, they love vegetables and fruits that are juicy. I suggest you choose vegetables like lettuce. More about what bunnies can eat here. I fed them lettuce in the video.. and bits of cucumber.

Now.. here comes nasty bunny.. haha!

I'd like to state that.. yes.. bunnies can be bathe.. but please.. I know you're an animal lover and you have loadsa experience with caring for a bunny. However, on some circumstances like an open shelter. Where their cages are full of holes.. cold at night.. and they're placed outside.. with the La Nina going on.. Wet seasons.. please don't. We don't want them bunnies catch cold. Download some common sense into your brain. I'm saying this because last week, a Korean lady was cock talking about how much experience she has with bunnies. This, without even looking around the environment.. and it's probably going to rain soon. Honestly, I don't care whether you have experience with bunnies or not. Unless of course, if you're bringing them home and are willing to pay for their medication.. then don't be a f***ing smart ass.

Volunteer Day: PAWS Animal Shelter With Poe

Last weekend, I went into the resricted area where all quarantined dogs are held and found Poe there. Poe is a lively little pup. I couldn't find Poe's record at the time.. I'm not sure Poe's gender. Nope, Poe is not ready for adoption yet.. I just want to show off my little friend here because.. Look at those smiles. Hahahaha! We notice them from far. Cutest pup in there.

From Poe's colour coat, we know that Poe is a mix.. but of what, we're not sure. Also, I think Poe is about 3 months old. Pretty sure those ears are going to stand up. Poe reminds us of Ray, the cute pup we saw and was immediately adopted upon release. Hopefully, Poe has the same luck as Ray once release.

Volunteer Day: PAWS Animal Shelter with Old Boy

I posted the video above on Instagram earlier on.. explaining how Old Boy got so excited when his favourite human came to visit him. Old Boy was not in his regular cell when The Asshole was looking for him. It was that 2 barks that catches The Asshole's attention. Apparently, Old Boy saw him from the furthest boys cell and called on him. Old Boy was letting him know that they moved him there temporarily.

And then.... as usual.. we took him out...

He knew we were going to take him out. He was sooooo happy. He couldn't contain his excitements. Hahahahaha! Off we go taking him out...

There look! Because he really trusted The Asshole so much... Old Boy is extremely calm around him. He's not like that with people he dont trust. Like I said on my Instagram. Getting Old Boy to chill.. needs a lot of hands. If you can't handle him, and his cool attitude... he will basically drag you during his walks. Here's the best part about Old Boy once you gain his trust...

He gives you his full trust. He comes when The Asshole calls him and he followed when The Asshole is commanding him. We will adopt this child! But... damn.. we need fundings. We need to get a house that could support Old Boy. In Malaysia, you can be charge for having dogs living in condominiums or apartments with you.. and we do agree that it's not proper to have a dog in an condominium/apartment as well. Especially,  when the house does not belongs to us. We're just renting. We are those gen-y's that couldn't afford a home because the gen-x's ruined the economy. You need at least half a million ringgit to buy a house and at least MYR40k standby to do so. I feel so helpless...

But of course.. until all this happens. Until luck is on our side. Until life is generous upon us.. we dont mind becoming Old Boy's main sponsor.

Old Boy has gone through plenty before he was surrendered to the shelter. He was abused.. He came in malnourished. For six months, Old Boy stayed in the shelter.. in his very own cell because he couldn't get along with other dogs. He didn't get much walks because Old Boy has trust issues. Somehow, The Asshole manage to bond with him. Seeing that happened makes you feel happy that he finally bonded with someone.. but sad because we don't have a proper place for him to hang out. I really wish we can find a place soon and bring him home..

Volunteer Day: PAWS Animal Shelter with Fizz

Fizz is a lonely kitten with an amputated hind legs. I am here... to give Fizz some munchies. Hehehe! Just to make his live a little bit more better. Fizz came in brought by the public. At the time, his amputated hind leg was already fractured.

There are actually other kittens in his cell last week. I wonder what happened to them.. I hope they're okay. I didn't make any record on my visit last week because I was busy helping them nursing sick animals.

Oh!! Fizz is ready for adoption! Yayy.. please adopt Fizz. Fizz needs a loving home. He has already gone through a lot for such a small and fragile kitten.

Also.. I'd like to make a note here. If you're reading this.. and you're a mama kitten. Please make sure you provide Kitty milk and soft food for them.. until they're off the nursing age.

Volunteering Day: PAWS Animal Shelter with Grover

Meet Grover! I've made the introduction on my Instagram earlier today. Well, we found Grover in the cellar next to Old Boy (Yes, Old Boy is still there). I'm not sure why Grover is in PAWS. He's a very sweet and calm boy. If you ask me.. Grover might not have any chances in that shelter.. because he is already 11 years old. Though he still acts like a puppy and still loves to run. In addition to that, most people only cares about adopting puppies rather than old dogs. I'd say.. old dogs are cool because they already know the basics of manners. Plus, Grover is healthy!

The Asshole said that.. Grover might have seen better days because of his playful and calm attitude. He said that because.. Grover got excited after his bath when he sees towel. It's like he's ready to play.. He immediately lay down when you wipe him.. he actually thought it's play time.

I don't know.. I just dont understand how people could just give up their companion or family. Your pets are family too.. it's the same when you got tired of your parents, you decide to put them in an old folks home but Grover has the opposite. This is not old folks home.. it's like you just send him to his death. If you're a good child, you won't even send your parents to old folks home. You would love them and care for them as much as they do when they investment in your growth. Having a pet is like being a parent. Only the best part is... pets are more chill than kids. Kids rebel.. pets are faithful.

Grover is open for adoption. Grover is a small dog breed. With his chill and all.. he is the best pet companion you could have ever wished for. Adopt Grover.. I reckoned he won't have much time over there.

RIP Baby German

Korra & Leyna

Dear God.. earlier this week, we received a news that about 2 of Korra & Leyna's siblings who were adopted by another family, died of non other than a famous deadly viral virus called Distemper Virus. The same virus that killed Loki. The virus mostly attack puppies and puppies who has been attacked, mostly have only 10%-30% chances to survive.. but that is all we need. It means there are chances that they could survive.

At the same time, we also gotten the news that German, who was adopted by my friend herself, are suffering of the same deadly virus along with other dogs that are staying with him.

Today... we received a news we never expected. Baby German has given up the fight and are now in the good hands of God. Our prayers are with his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.. the boy has suffered enough at a very young age. Same as baby Loki, baby German gotten to the stage where the virus has attacked his nerves, brains and causes ulcers to his little tummy.

There are other dogs who lives in the same house as German, that are also suffering from the same deadly decease. Let's all pray that they will be okay. Meet Old Boy

Nope.. he's nit really old. He just has the charisma of an old man. Hahahaha! Old Boy has been in this shelter for quite some time already. We all know dogs in this shelter dont have much time.

We brought Old Boy out today and bathed him after. Old Boy loves staring at cars.

Old Boy can also be your running companion. Oh yes.. he really loves the outdoors.

He is a very chill dude too.. if you know how to control him. He clicks with assholes a lot more. Hahahahaha! The Asshole and him has already marked most of the trees there. Yep, they did it together.

So... apparently... dogs over there don't really bark at us... hahahahaha! We are loved....

Hey everyone!

There's so many of them that needs a home. They're all good dogs.. have been spayed/neutered and are all vaccinated. So.. please please please consider taking them home. Oh BTW... if you already have dogs... did you know those who ended up in shelters will get euthanized once their time is up? This especially are targeted towards old and sick animals. If you are being a responsible owners.. if you're not planning to keep all your puppies once you let your dogs breed. Then please... consider spaying or neutering them. It's better than they ended up in shelters.

Volunteering Day: PAWS Animal Shelter with Milo

Last week, when I was here with CY and Xeniya... Xeniya got a chance to walk Milo. That was our first time experience with Milo and boy is he a big hand. He won't stop moving. It's like he has ADHD or something. This kid is super hyperactive.. And he really likes to jump at people. Which in turn, to those who likes their dog well behave... This attitude is quite rude. It shows that he is trying to be your boss!

Today, I came with my evil wife Sandra and we too got a chance to walk Milo. Yes!!! He is still that ADHD kid we CY, Xeniya and I met last week. Of course, i can't walk him like that. It would be extremely hard! I've seen how was it when Xeniya walk him last week. So, instead of going straight to our walks... I decided to calm him down first. Yep.. That's the video on top... It took us quite awhile with plenty of treats to reward him being calm.

There he is... no more jumping.. no more being a Dick pushing people.. but instead, chilling with us during our hot hazy day walk.. Good job baby Milo. Oh yea.. I named him Milo... because he reminded me of this old cartoon called "The Mask". That side's dog name was Milo.

Kapten's kennel cage is located just beside Blob's cage. I'm not really sure why are they isolated. Probably because these are the dogs they categorise as pedigree breeds. I'm not even sure what Kapten's breed.. What I know is that, Kapten is quite pretty. Maybe, he's one of those shepherd dog breeds. Maybe, his previous owner abandoned him and now he is here sitting in his kennel cage looking all miserable. Kapten is up for adoption too.. I hope he gets into a good family that will not abandon him.

Volunteering Day: Paws Animal Shelter with Ray

I decided to volunteer at one of the animal shelter very near where I live in KL. The reason behind all this is because, I wanted to study veterinarian nurse and vet tech. So, I needed a place where I can work with animals. On day one, I was just planning to submit the volunteering form to the office.. But apparently I ended up staying and playing with some of the dogs. At the same time.. Fell in love with one particular puppy which we named Ray (sun Ray). Ray is a beautiful mongrel with the coat that looks almost like Leyna. She just went through an operation to remove her womb and are currently very much afraid of people. Ray still has her stitches on when we saw her that day. Here's Ray;

Ray was so scared... She was being very submissive. It makes you feel so bad, letting a pup go through spaying and neutering experience all because of our irresponsible attitude for not controlling our pets. Ray would stopped any movements with her tail in between her legs upon touching her.. but she is so sweet. We pray that she finds a good family once she is release from quarantine. Dogs in this shelter don't have much time. I really hope people understand the need to control breeding in dogs. Be it you decided to spay/ neuter or just leave them as they are without doing so.
