Note: DIY Cleaning Solution

What you need.. vinegar, Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Powder & your favourite essential oil.

To Remove The Urine:
  • Combine the water and vinegar solution mixed in a bowl
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup vinegar

To Neutralize and Deodorize:
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup baking soda

To Lift Any Remaining Set-in Stain:
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup household strength (3%) hydrogen peroxide

Remove Urine, Neutralize, Deodorize and Removing the Stain:
  1. Blot up as much of the urine as possible by using the paper towels.
  2. Mix together the water and vinegar and pour or spray it on the spot. You really want to work it down into the carpet so this is not a time to be stingy.
  3. Work the mixture into the carpet with your fingers (or a scrub brush or toothbrush), but be careful not to scrub too hard- heavy scrubbing will damage the carpet fibers.
  4. Blot up all the vinegar and water until it’s as dry as possible. A wet/dry vac or steam cleaner does a good job extracting liquid too.
  5. When the spot is very close to being dry, sprinkle the baking soda on the stain.
  6. With your rubber gloves on, work some of the peroxide into the stain with your fingers. The baking soda and peroxide will be foaming like mad.
  7. Again blot up all the liquid possible with a paper towel or other absorbent material.
  8. Let the spot dry completely.
  9. Vacuum thoroughly to remove any residue.

Homemade Carpet Freshener:
  • 3 cups baking soda
  • 20 drops of your favorite essential oil like lavender, jasmine, or vanilla
  • Shaker jar to disperse
  1. Pour the baking soda in a medium size bowl and break up any clumps with a fork.
  2. Use your favorite essential oil like lavender, jasmine, or vanilla and sprinkle in the baking soda, stirring well to reduce lumps.
  3. Put the mixture in a shaker jar and sprinkle lightly on the carpet. Don't overdo it. Just a light sprinkle is enough.
  4. Let sit on the carpet for 15 minutes or so and vacuum up.

Experimenting with Home DIY Cleaning Solution (FAIL!)

And the purpose is to get rid of doggie pee and poop smell. The problem is that... After making this, I felt that the solution is not strong enough. The solution was:

  • 50ml 6% Hydrogen Peroxide
  • 50ml White Vinegar
  • 1 Table Spoon of Baking Soda
  • 6 Drops of Cold Pressed Orange Essential Oil
The smell is barely visible... I guess my next experiment will be using Cold Pressed Lemon Essential Oil or Organic Apple Cider Vinegar + Hydrogen Peroxide + Baking Soda! All this because Korra & Leyna has made the whole house their official toilet when nobody is around. I'm not sure what kind of behaviour this is... I can't say it's anxiety because even if nobody is at home, there are two of them accompanying each other. Still, as long as you're not looking.. That's what they will do. They just poop or pee as they like.

Korra & Leyna: Hygiene

We will be picking up Korra & Leyna from her mum on the 17 March 2016. By then, they're already 2 months and 5 days old. Yes, their birthday on on January 11th, 2016. I made some preparations because.. My parents are useless at this stuffs and my brothers are clueless + unreliable. Why we have dogs? Well, because I hope... they will live, a healthy life. I can't go into details about this yet, you have to wait until I get emotional. Which probably is... soon?

Okay back to the story.. I found out, Loki's remaining shampoo wasn't that good. So, I got Korra & Leyna a better one. Loki was also not dental cleaned. Well, this has to change with Korra & Leyna. They need to have their teeth cleaned! It's gonna be a way to tame them as well.. because I'm going to make sure they're bath once a week or once in two weeks, I have to make sure the shampoo is as mild as possible. So, I manage to get this organic shampoo from Mineral Spa. I chose Rosemary not only because of the smell (puh-leese.. although it does smell majestic!), it's also because antioxidant. Yeepieee! I'll post a video of their bath time when I get home! Here are the ingredients;

Ingrediens: Purified water, Coconut-based natural surfacant, Sodium cocoglucoside tartrate, Volcanic minerals, Vitamin E, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Olive oil PEG 7 emollient, Natural soy extract deodorant, Rosemary leaf oil, Bergamot oil, Calendula officinalis flower extract, Horehound extract, Scutellaria extract, Citric acid.

Well.. It seems okay... We'll just give them a try. Next time, I'll go for Pomegranate Mineral Spa Shampoo or Lavender Mineral Spa Shampoo.

I manage to get them doggie tooth paste as well! HEH! Beaphar is a well known German product. I bought the emergency milk.. then, I though I might as well get the tooth paste and the tooth brush. So, yea.. There it goes.

Every dog deserve a clean and healthy life just like you. If you need a bath because you felt sticky and dirty.. it's the same for dogs. Although, they do not have to have their baths ever so often to let their natural skin oil flow healthily to protect them.. but if you this your dog needs a bath.. then off you go clean them up. This especially if they're living in a tropical hot weather, living a very active life and if they are going to sleep in the house.

Korra & Leyna is a mixture of 2 large breeds. A German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever. Both of which are active in demand. They will require exercise... My family... especially my lazy parents and youngest brother, will have to do this. I am actually wanting this effort to be on my parents. Mum needs a regular exercise. That woman is getting old, she has been complaining about her health.. She needs to at least sweat healthily! And to do this.. I hope I have my dad support... IN TIME! Please, God... help me with this. This will help relief mum's stress.. and improve both of their lifestyle.
