Korra & Leyna The Destroyer

Korra 9kg & Leyna 11.6kg

The girls will be 5 months old in 4 days. So much character their adolescents age. So much fun with everything. So much love for mum and dad too.

They have come to The age where destroying things is now much more fun than behaving well.

The last surviving couch...

Our old retro kiddy chair...

RIP Mum's Orkids

Although, this only happens when nobody is around. What happened? Perhaps a little separation anxiety there.. or they simply are just bored. No idea.. but we will get to that behaviour when I'm back.

Korra & Leyna: My Loyal Babies

I spent five days with the girls.. on day 3, I noticed something very cool about them. Something that I have never experience in my entire life before. Something that made me feel wonderful and happy. Something I wish I have all the time.... I earned their trust.. or maybe they're just obsessed. Hahaha! The girls... followed me everywhere I go.. They can do that, even through nap time. The Asshole said.. "that means they like you very much". Hearing that... it felt like, I can just die of happiness. I didn't have to force them much. I just called them.. to make them come from far or stop at something that they're not supposed to do and they keep a certain distant from me.. yet still around me.

Oh Korra is 3.5kg while Leyna is 4.5kg. Big babies!

A Tribute to Loki (Our First Family Puppy): #6 Loki's Tantrums

When I was home.. I spend most of my time with baby Loki. Training and playing with him. Loki is a very very playful male puppy. He likes to munch your hands.. or nibble.. or play bite. So, what you do when dogs does that.. standard procedure. Either distract them with something that they can bite on or.. slap their mouth. I slapped him.. not hard.. but firm enough to tell him it's wrong. That's what he did then... that's how Loki throws tantrums.

His baby towel became his victim... This boy really got tantrums. Still... he smiles and play with everyone whom he trust. Which at first, was just us family. Haha!

A Tribute to Loki (Our First Family Puppy): #5 The Prince

Being the only puppy and the kid in the house.. Loki quickly becomes the loved one. He brought everyone home..

He gets constant attention and dad fell in love with him. He became mum's haven.. coming home from work to a puppy that always greeted her happily. Mum's stress levels were improved. The kids became more responsible.. Loki was everything to everyone.. He was the best.. and will always be..

Before my brother left for his tournament in KL. Before everything became nightmare.

Before I left to KL.. I work there..

He was always the centre of attention. The cutest.. our prince...

A Tribute to Loki (Our First Family Puppy): #4 Loki's Diet

Loki was on a pure dog food diet when he was with us. We first put him on Dr. Hart's Best Breed Puppy Diet but the kibbles were too hard for him and he refuse to eat them when we mixed with a little bit of water. Here are the ingredients in Dr. Hart's Best Breed Puppy Diet;

Chicken Meal, Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Dried Beet Pulp, Chicken Fat [Preserved with Natural Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E)], Egg Product, Brewers Dried Yeast, Natural Flavor, Menhaden Fish Meal, Lecithin, Menhaden Fish Oil, Kelp Meal, Sea Salt, Flax Seed, Canola Oil, Calcium Carbonate, Potassium Chloride, L-Lysine, DL Methionine, Ascorbic Acid, Glucosamine, Garlic Powder, Vitamin E Supplement, Biotin, Niacin Supplement, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Acetate, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Citric Acid, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid, Potassium Chloride, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Zinc Proteinate, Iron Proteinate, Zinc Oxide, Copper Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Manganese Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Manganous Oxide, Sodium Selenite, Calcium Iodate.

Dog Food Advisor Review HERE.

Highlighted are the ingredients that does not exceed my likes. Heh! However, that wasn't the reason I took Loki out of this dog food brand. I din't know about ingredients then. I wasn't aware about the conspiracy behind every dog food ingredients until recently.

That includes my effort to make some research and I realize that, when the brand mentioned "pure meat diet", it's not entirely meat. If you notice the ingredients, it's only one of them and that was mentioned first. Well, at least.. Dr. Hart's Best Breed Puppy Diet did not include corn and soy (summary about why these two ingredients are not recommended HERE).

When I decided to change Loki's dog food to make it easier for him to munch on, we chose Bil Jac Puppy Select Formula because one of my friend was using this doggy food product and her dogs seems okay. Also, because it's the nearest pet store to my home. Besides that, the decision was made also because we notice that the kibbles were more puppy friendly (as in, more easier to munch for puppies). Thinking back, I'm pretty sure we just made a terrible mistake there..

Here are the ingredients to  Bil Jac Puppy Select Formula;
Chicken, Chicken By-Products (organs only, source of arginine), Corn Meal, Chicken By-Product Meal, Dried Beet Pulp, Oatmeal, Brewers Dried Yeast, Monocalcium Phosphate, Flaxseed, Salt, Choline Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, DL-Methionine, Sodium Propionate (a preservative), L-Lysine, Vitamin E Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (source of Vitamin C), Zinc Proteinate, Zinc Oxide, Copper Proteinate, Vitamin A Acetate, Copper Sulfate, Niacin Supplement, Biotin, Sodium Selenite, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Inositol, Manganese Proteinate, Riboflavin Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Mixed Tocopherols and BHA (preservatives), Manganous Oxide, Cobalt Proteinate, Cobalt Carbonate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Potassium Iodide, Folic Acid, Rosemary Extract.

Same.. Highlighted are the ingredients that does not exceed my likes. First of all, the Copper Sulfate and Copper Proteinate. You just have to Google copper sulfate in dog food to know more. Use in pesticides, it's toxic and it's a kind of salt. Don't think that you dog live up to 1-2 years there's nothing wrong with it. Salt is basically, one of the cause of allergies in dogs. With this ingredient inside, it's enough to make me say no... but I didn't know at the time. I wasn't aware of this until I make my own research recently. Same goes to Corn too..

Well.. at least Bil Jac doesn't have soy in it.. but everyone should know that buying dog food, means u have to deal with the GMO ingredients in them... Whether, you like it or not.

Eat, drink and fell asleep...

I think Loki doesn't like his food that much at the time. He wasn't gaining puppy weight. So, I had to put him on puppy milk as well.. and the only puppy milk available back in my hometown was some I don't remember what brand product.. but here are the nutrition facts;

Well, it's good enough.. temporarily.

But thinking back.. I realize I should have at least cook for Loki. Check what nutrition he lacks upon and provides with the additional needs for him. If I had done that, he would have had a more happier life then and a more healthier too.

To live a long life, you have to have a healthy diet.. and this applies to animals too. If you're just getting a pet for fashion, trend or later complaining you don't have time for it.. YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST DON'T GET ONE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THINGS YOU CAN'T HANDLE OR JUST DON'T BOTHER TO KNOW! I find these reasons are very disappointing! Especially that part where people who have pets, but have no time for it. Plus, don't bother to get additional knowledge about their pets. Hence, the reason a pet is so undisciplined.. because the owner is the same!

A Tribute to Loki (Our First Family Puppy): #3 Loki's Favourite Toy, The Colourful Rope

Yep, he sleeps with it..

Because Loki is a family dog, I set a rule that Loki can will stay in the house until he is big enough to be outside. Even when he is outside, he can come in to sleep. So, since he is living with us.. there are few ways to keep him distracted from destroying the house.. That is; Toys, Exercise & Play time. Since he is still a  baby, so he has only Toys and Play Time to make him tired. He has few toys, but this one is the toy that he loves the most. Glad he loves it..

A Tribute to Loki (Our First Family Puppy): #2 Loki's First Struggle

When we brought our baby Loki home.. he already has a few problems hanging on him.. he was infested with loads of tick and some allergies at his tail, as well as his front right paws.

***My knowledge about dogs is almost close to 0% at the time. I never would've thought I had to go through "Karma" experience again. We'll get to that later..***

My brothers were pretty much ignorant, that also applies to my parents because they wouldn't want any hand in this. The only thing I manage to prepare before we bring Loki home was his basics needs. Luckily, I bought this flea & tick shampoo to bath him. As we all know, this is not enough to protect him. We needed to clean the house.. PERIOD! However, I did not have enough time for that.. I guess I was ignorant too because I played a lot with baby Loki when I was home.

***I miss him so much... I wish I had gone home earlier to be with him..***

I tried to get the Frontline flea & tick spot on.. but baby Loki is till very little to be administered such poison to his delicate skin. We also started wiping the floor with Dettol. He hates the smell.. Sorry baby.

The Best Chap Goh Meh Celebration Ever

We went to visit The Asshole's favourite cousin. The cousin that helped us move out from our old and rusty rented apartment. He is brother Ah Hua. Brother Hua moved out from his apartment to a new home with his family. So, this.. He made a CNY party and invited the whole family!!! I'm not officially part of them.. but I will be soon!

Guess what? I'm one of those.. who went to a party.. and greet the family pets first. So, when I saw this girl...
This is Sandy by the way...

I went straight to her.. (after greeted brother Hua Of course) Hahahahahahhaa! Pass everyone else who is in the way... LOL! Obviously I don't care whether they think I'm rude.

And then... I met this guy..

His name is Sky.

Everyone was afraid of him.. this guy barks at anyone near him. It's like he's telling everyone that we are all annoying and he just want everyone to go away. Guess what... I did! I was afraid at first. Well, not really.. but his barks and growls really gets in me. Then, I realize... if you listen closely.. he didn't mean that he want to bite you or so, he's just annoyed and sad he is kept in cage while everyone gets in the party fun. Yep.. you gotta think like a dog, to know what it mean. Sky is a pet dog.. a pure Husky breed to be exact. He can't be a guard dog, nor will he bite you to harm you. We kept on hearing his cries during the party and decided to let him out once we have eaten and the crowd goes inside the house. It took almost an hour to make him trust me and it's okay.. I'm here to play with him. Not forgetting about shooing all those annoying kids that wanted to touch him. Sky was so furious at them.. I have to give him massage on his back.. and his head. It took him quite some time to finally settle down and chill. Then.. he licked my face. OMG! I can't tell you how happy I was at the time. Any dogs who lick, you should know.. it trust you and it is giving its respect and love to you. That's when.. I decided to pet him and hug him so hard.. even lay on top of him. Which, he didn't even care. Hahaha! And that's how I fell in love with this boy.. If had my own place which has a compound enough for him to run around.. I would have brought him home.. because the owner said, I can take Sky if I want to..

A Tribute to Loki (Our First Family Puppy): #1 Introduction

The day he came home with us and this is his very first car ride..

One day, one of my brother decides to adopt his very first dog and he told me.. "Dad doesn't wanna give me permission to do so..". So, I made it clear the responsibility.. and I do think it's a good idea to implement "responsibilities" to my brothers (I have three that is currently staying with my parents and one that is married). My parents (especially my dad) hates the idea of having a dog at home. They were against it at all cost.. So, I made my brothers promise me to clean the house and take responsibility of the pup. I can't promise this because.. I have to take a plane to cross the South China Sea just to be home. I can only be the sponsor.. LOL! They did.. That's when we got Loki.

It was during the Christmas time.. Loki was from one of my brother's friend's litter. He was one of the three that made it into the world. The others were a boy who was eaten by next door's dog and a girl, the only survivor until now. Before we went for the pick up, I actually ask my brother if he would prefer female pup instead of the male one because, he's a first time owner. Female pup will be more calm when trained. Well, he insisted Loki because he's cute. Haha! Indeed he is.

23 December 2015: Home

Loki's first night at home

No.. he's not obsessive. He just fell asleep while eating and drinking. He's a baby..

He was about 7 weeks when we got him at the time.. We head directly to the government veterinarian  clinic but their vaccine was out of stock and the refuse to deworm and give him the flea/ tick injection because he was still so very young. I say... that's bullshit.. but we were first time owner, and my brothers didn't know any other animal clinics! It was my fault... I should have guide them. It was when we decided we will wait until he is 2 months old as the government vet said (yes, we were that stupid and my parents wasn't very supportive).

We didn't waste time when we got home.. Loki have tick issues on him. So we bathed him with tick and flea shampoo (which was not enough). Dried and fed him.. then later, got him into potty training. He needs to know where he can pee and poop.. which was outside in the garden. The next morning..  when I checked on him.. he cried because he needed to go. Brought him out and he defecates. That's when I knew, Loki has graduated from potty training.. Amazing right? In one night he knew what to do.. Loki is a very naughty, playful and pampered baby.

I was home for Christmas for a week.. and of course I trained and played with this baby. Everyone fell in love with him in an instant. Even mum and dad.. There were times when we had to go out for dinner, Loki have to be home alone for the first time. He got so lonely.. he played with the Asshole's shoes. Haha! I wonder why he chose the Asshole's shoes... Got smacked after.. and the loved again.

On Christmas night.. a Midnight, The Asshole was playing with him. He became very submissive. Haha!
He was always around my youngest brother's bicycle, on the carpet.. near to The Asshole's shoes. It's one of his favourite spot.

Always sleeping.. well, because he's a baby..

He demands to be love.. always.. He pretty much make himself home the minute he brought him back.

Loki is a mutt. A mix of the pariah INDog, a little spitz and I'm not sure what else. His feature looks a lil bit like a Husky and a German Shepherd.

and he's the cutest mutt pup in the whole universe. Haha!

He instantly became my favourite mutt in the whole galaxy too. Everyday, Loki gets a special post on both my Instagram and Facebook. People were following his updates on my Facebook and Instagram.
